French Embassy in Mongolia and Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports jointly funded Scholarship Program
Introduction
French Embassy in Mongolia and Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports jointly funded scholarship is awarded to up to 10 eligible candidates to aid their postgraduate studies in French universities.
Available Degree Programs: Master’s and Doctoral Programs (study conducted in French or English)
Field of Study: Candidates applying to programs in the following fields will be given priority: agriculture, biotechnology, veterinary medicine, food production, renewable energy, geophysics, culture and arts, nanotechnology, engineering etc.
Scholarship Announcement Date: around March
Scholarship Benefits:
• Airport transfer service
• Exemption from French Visa application fee
• Monthly Allowance for accommodation and meal expenses – up to 769 euros
• Travelex service at the airport
• Residence Permit fee
• Refund for course materials and textbooks
• If the awardee could not secure a place in CROUS dormitory, the apartment rent fee may be refunded, and will be on a priority list for French university dormitories.
• Exemption from university application fees
• Exemption from health insurance fees
Please keep in mind that the scholarship amount will not fully cover all the expenses of studying in France.
Eligibility:
• Be a citizen of Mongolia
• Applicants require a Bachelor’s degree recognized by Mongolian and French universities.
• To have English or French language skills required by the university/course of your choice
• Have not studied abroad on a Mongolian government scholarship before
• English language skills: must have acquired TOEFL score of 40 and above or IELTS score of 5.5 and above within the last 2 years.
• French language skills: Certificate of DELF CECRL level B2, DALF, TCF level B2 and above

• Study Plan /if applying for a program conducted in French, study plan must be written in French with Mongolian translation, if the program of your choice is conducted in English, the study plan must be written in English with Mongolian translation, must be no more than two A4 pages, font size 12, Times New Roman/
• Notarized copy of Bachelor’s diploma, Academic Transcript /official French translation/

• Official recommendation letter from the last university the applicant has graduated from
• Reference Letter from the current Employer encouraging the applicant’s scholarship application + Social Insurance Book
• Applicants must prepare 2 copies of abovementioned documents (one copy in Mongolian and one copy in either French or English) and send to the Embassy of France in Mongolia within the specified application period.
• Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted.
Selection Process:
Selection process consists of 2 stages: assessment of application documents and interview. The Selection Committee evaluates the submitted applications and announces successful candidates who will be invited to interview as well as the interview timetable via email or phone.
