Chinese Government Scholarship

Introduction

Through the agreement between the Mongolian and Chinese governments, in 2019 Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS) )was announced to be awarded to 252 Mongolian citizens for undergraduate and graduate courses starting fall 2019. CGS for study starting from 2020 is to be announced in January-February 2020.

Available Degree Programs: Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral

Field of Study: The applicant can choose their desired program from any of the 243 Chinese universities offering CSC Scholarships.

Scholarship Announcement Date: late January to early February

Scholarship Benefits: full tuition, accommodation, monthly allowance for personal expenses. The monthly allowance sum is as follows: Undergraduate – 2500 CNY, Master’s – 3000 CNY, Doctoral – 3500 CNY.

Eligibility:

General criteria

  • Not be a citizen of People’s Republic of China
  • Be in good health, physically and mentally
  • Applicants with Chinese language skills or advanced English language skills will be given priority

Undergraduate

Graduate

- To have Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent with a GPA of 3.0 or above,

- Must not be over 25 years old

- Master’s Program applicants must have Bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 3.0 and above

- Must not be over 35 years old

- Must have relevant knowledge of math, if applying for Business Administration programs

- Doctoral Program applicants must have Master’s degree with a GPA of 3.0 and above

- Must not be over 40 years old

- Must have relevant knowledge of math, physics and chemistry, if applying for Science and Technology programs

- Must have relevant knowledge of math, physics, chemistry and biology, if applying for Medicine programs

Required Documents:

To register for this scholarship, you must submit following documents to the online application system:

National ID

Passport

Verification Letter from your current school/university;

Original academic transcript /with GPA/;

Higher Secondary School certificate/diploma, grade transcript;

3*4 size photo taken within the last 6 months;

Bachelor’s/Master’s Diploma;

• HSK, IELTS, TOEFL score certificates;

Official letter from school principal/dean approving the scholarship application

Selection Process:

1. Applicants must register online and submit required documents.

2. Only those who applied online must bring the original documents to the announced site and confirm the application by paying the registration fee.

3. Applicants must take a writing exam, further details of which will be announced on the MECSS website.

4. Applicants who successfully passed the writing exam will be invited to interview. Submission of some additional required documents might be necessary. Candidates who successfully passed the interview will be awarded the scholarship.
